Prathyasa Bhavan Half Way Home is an ambitious project of the Ranni- Nilackal Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church for rehabilitation of recovered mental patients. The Bhavan was born out of the desire and vision of Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos our former Diocesan Episcopa and an earnest attempt for the realization of that dream is being made by the present Diocesan Episcopa, the Rt. Rev. Geevarghese Mar Athanasius. This project is dedicated to commemorate the 80th birthday of our beloved Metropolitan Dr.Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma.

Rehabilitation
-> Rehabilitation of recovered mental patients involves three functions.
->Train and temper them to befit for integration to society.
->Educate and orient the society to accept and acknowledge them as its part and parcel.
   Integrate them to the society.

The rehabilitation programme consists Prayers, Medical care, Indoor games, Agriculture activities, Occupational therapy, Psychotherapy, Aptitude Tests, Music & arts programes, Physical exercise, Library, Sports etc.

Visits are controlled due to the sensitive nature of the community. Kindly call us up and fix a time for visits. It would be best if group visits do not exceed twenty persons at one time. We also follow a policy of respecting the inmates’ privacy; therefore, the best time to visit is during meals or worship. If you come during lunch we could all share a community meal, and if you come on a Sunday we could participate in community worship.
